In reply to Joaquin. Exactly, this is the right observation to define the sequence that the author implies. I was confused because the values listed on the book didn't make it that obvious to me that this is the right definition.

Now i may be wrong but i think you went completly overboard. Historically, we didn’t use Android’s profiling tools often. They were pretty awful and the only tools that we really used extensively were the on-device GPU profiling tools which were reasonably good. In recent years Android’s native story improved by leaps and bounds with the introduction of Android Studio and 3rd party tools developing native Android apps has improved a lot. Steve has implemented one of our long time RFE’s: Async editing in Android. This effectively means that the Android keyboard will behave as it does in iOS and won’t fold/open as you move between text fields. It will also remain open as you scroll the screen and won’t resize the UI as it opens! As you can imagine this is a huge change so it is currently off by default but we will flip the change sometime next week to be the default.

Got a CD with my chest X-ray from the hospital. Was expecting a pdf or an image of sorts, but the CD content was rather different. App Use, Track 3 is more experimentation with Samplr. “Sherlock Holmes and the Voice Of Terror” provided the samples, Fission chopped them up, and Addictive Synth provided the arpeggiation samples. This was pretty tricky. (There was an earlier attempt at this but it was a fair old disaster. Even more repetitive and far too “chunky”.) Portable Dandy is a collection of samples you play in a virtual tape loop with a trio of effects. Quite fun but it has a proper problem as you can hear in thesoundtestroom review - certain sample and effect combinations will trigger horrible glitching. In an attempt to avoid this horror, I recorded the samples into [LPR][Loopy] and then sequenced them there. Where I discovered that Loopy is a right old bugger to work for this kind of thing.

Samplr is a wizard’s toolbox of magical sound manipulation. In the hands of a master, it can produce some good stuff - “Do It Again”, “jamming with Samplr”, “SAMPLR - have some fun”. In the hands of a bumbling amateur, it makes … something? App Use, Track 1 is just a bunch of stock Samplr samples being randomly noodled through the various modes to see how it all works. It works as a mostly ambient track, I think.
