After getting an intense look at Docker last night, I firmly believe that it is going to be the most disruptive server technology that we've seen in the last few years. iOS allows us to send a push notification to trigger a numeric badge on the application icon, this is something you could do with Codename One for quite some time although it was mostly undocumented. You could send a push notification with the type 100 and the number for the badge and that number would appear on the icon, when you launch the app the next time the default behavior is to clear the badge value.

Gatling is a powerful open-source Performance Test tool released in December, 2011. It was also mentioned in the Thoughtworks Radar 2013 and 2014 as a tool worth trying. Gatling is a lightweight DSL written in Scala that comes with the interesting premise of "treating your performance tests as production code".

Currently the user interfaces are getting advanced to the point of where they could treat us better than other human beings would, at least in some cases.
