Repository: @knadh/listmonk GitHub release page: v5.0.0 Skip this release and upgrade to v5.0.2 instead for multiple fixes (UX bugs and a security fix) Changelog 3b8a8c2 3 Add email-builder/dist to .gitignore. 8902320 a Update screenshot on README.

Leveraged LLMs to rebuild our invoice system in 48 hours. Explores AI-driven development, prompt engineering, and lessons learned from this rapid migration.

Back when I was working on coppermind at the heyday of GPT3.5’s initial world shattering release, I had… difficulty finding good ways to deal with parsing the stochastic LLM outputs. I got better at this when I started work on arkaine, eventually developing a pretty useful and reliable parsing pattern. With an idea that would be best served as a golang app requiring interacting with LLMs I decided to do a quick port of the pars..

I've come to realize that soyjack party is the new 4chan and 4chan has turned into Something Awful in terms of Internet legacy/hierarchy. Even if it is all shit, soyjack party cranks out OC, pulls stunts, and raids as well as 4chan did in its heyday. Nowadays 4chan is mainly a bastion of discussion and past efforts and anyone who takes it seriously is considered to be a part of the old, irrelevant guard. And think about it critically for a ....

Did some work on eli5equation, cleaning up and fully deploying prior one day project. We’ll see if people find it useful. I find it super useful when tackling new AI papers. I also gave it a bit of a glowup too. And yeah, still powered by arkaine.

Useragents - lainchan.org - 1 year ago - eng
Recently the about:config option privacy .resistFingerprinting .spoofOsInUserAgentHeader (and all its code) was removed in Tor Browser. Not only that, but general .useragent .override cannot be set in Tor Browser either: >RFP (privacy.resistFingerprinting) in code ignores these override prefs. >We locked RFP because some users disabled it just for getting the dark theme or other minor features that RFP breaks without realizin....

just is a better way of documenting project specific commands than using a Makefile or a folder full of scripts. It is easy to get started with, powerful for the long haul, and written in Rust.

Alternate Shells - lainchan.org - 1 year ago - eng
I have been playing with some alternative shells recently. Alternatives shells would be defined as shells that exist outside of the current big 3 (bash, zsh, and fish). I've done some daily driving of nushell for the past few months and while it has some interesting concepts, its fuzzy finding doesn't do it for me. Have you been using any alternate shells? I am looking at testing out murex, and maybe a few other ones while I'm at it.

In a discussion about LLMs and their impact on learning, gchamonlive writes on Hackernews: We can finally just take a photo of a textbook problem that has no answer reference and no discussion about it and prompt an LLM to help us understand what’s missing in our understanding of the problem, if our solution is plausible and how we could verify it. LLM changed nothing though. It’s just boosting people’s intention. If your intention..

I visited the Prado Museum, in Madrid, for the first time a few weeks ago. These were my favorite sculptures. The first, “Isabel II, veiled” by Camillo Torreggiani , is a marble bust but the realism of the veil over her face is truly impressive. I had seen similar pieces in Louvre, but Torreggiani’s sculpture is truly mesmerizing up close. Isabel II, veiled, Camillo Torreggiani “The Painter Mariano Fortuny” is special to me both..

Have you ever spent hours searching for essential information or found yourself stuck with confusing setup errors, only to realize the answers are undocumented and "known" by a select few team members? When you hear "technical documentation," do you run for the hills, or try to offload the task to someone else? Technical documentation is often treated as an afterthought, yet it plays an essential role in the success of any software develop....

I have been busy due to a flood of inspiration to work on projects. Pleasant, but also exhausting. The only updates to arkaine has been to fix an issue with default arguments in the ParallelList flow tool. The reason for the freeze in development is an accidental startup. How does one go “oops, I made a startup?” Basically, I decided to quickly develop a series of simple apps that utilized arkaine and would demonstrate its usage..

I think this is the right place to ask. I want to learn how to make programs. No real purpose, just dumb stuff that comes to mind and learn how to fix code. I'm not a professional; I have taught myself Java and HTML so far on Free Code Camp (I'll probably get hate for it). Gonna start to learn C++ next. I was wondering what languages would you guys recommend? Any free resources or courses you guys would suggest? Any advice would truly be ap..

I visited Mallorca over Easter break, taking a couple of extra days off. It was my first trip abroad after moving to Uppsala and my first time leaving the cats with a sitter here. All went well on that front, which is very promising for future longer trips.

Introduction Cloudflare’s Captcha solutions are one of the biggest hurdles Python developers usually face while writing a web scraper. Cloudflare offers various solutions like bot detection, CAPTCHA challenges (including the newer Turnstile verification), and IP blocking to prevent automated website access for data retrieval. These protections often result in “Verify You Are Human” checks, 403 Forbidden errors, or the challenging 1020 Acces....

Following the example set by WarpStream, these projects aim to substantially improve the experience of using Kafka in cloud environments, providing better elasticity, drastically reducing cost, and paving the way towards native lakehouse integra..
