After 14 years of building Actionhero, I built a new framework from scratch. Keryx lets you write one Action class and deploy it across HTTP, WebSocket, CLI, background tasks, and MCP — all with the same validation and middleware.
|
We're building increasingly complex integrations to connect coding agents to MCP servers. But these agents already know how to use the CLI. So why are we teaching them a new interface?

Threshold signature schemes allow a group of users to jointly generate a digital signature, providing resilience against faults and enhancing decentralization. With the advent of post-quantum cryptography, lattice-based threshold signatures have gained attention as viable PQ-threshold solutions. Nevertheless, existing constructions are limited in terms of their scalability, robustness. Worse, none is compatible with standardized schemes, pa..

Earlier this week, Cloudflare announced the introduction of their Browser Crawl Endpoint. This allows Cloudflare users to crawl an entire website by making a single API call to the Browser rendering service. Although the browser rendering service honours robots.txt they don't define a specific User-Agent that the service will check for, apparently instead expecting website operators to disallow all user agents if they want to ke....

Many of us wonder if the MacBook Neo is 'the one'. Because I have a faster desktop (currently a M4 Max Mac Studio), I've always used a lower-end Mac laptop, like the iBook or MacBook Air, for travel. I've used MacBook Pros in the past, but I like the portability of smaller, cheaper models. In fact, my favorite Mac laptop ever was the 11" Air.

Modern applications on Heroku don’t just consist of code. They are living ecosystems comprised of dynos, databases, third-party APIs, and complex user interactions. As these systems scale, so do the logs and metrics. To efficiently extract the signals from the noise you need to understand system health in the context of external factors, like resource […] The post From Fragmented Logs to Full-Stack Visibility with SolarWinds Papertrail ..

Michael and I were not the only Europeans living in Yercaud. I mentioned Sofie de Mello from Germany in a previous Indian Story post but there were a few other European residents there as well. One. an Englishman. Vic Tate by name. had been born in India around 1915. I say he was an Englishman because all his ancestors had come from England but he had only visited the country once. for a short holiday in the 1950s. Otherwise. he had lived h....

Leaving the autoresearch loop going, the LLM was able to make 7.8% progress on the distillation task. I saw Andrej Karpathy’s Autoresearch results the other day and decided to give it a shot on a relatively difficult task: distilling a retrieval/reranking model into a much smaller 10MB model. The model was trained on MS MARCO v1.1 and SQuAD (~169K pairs total) and evaluated on MRR@10.

Introduction I really like containers, but they are something that is currently very bad from a security point of view: distribution We download container images from container registries, whether it is docker.io, quay.io or ghcr.io, but the upstream project do not sign them, so we can not verify a CI pipeline or the container registry did not mess with the image. There are actually a few upstream actors signing their images: Fedora, Red H....
