My NAS sits there quietly doing it's job most of the time. However, recently I needed to troubleshoot a cron that appeared not to be running, so went looking for log entries. Turns out Debian 8's default behaviour was to send cron loglines to journald only (i.e. no passthrough to rsyslog). This has been painless especially with the introduction of the Remove silence feature, the main feature that kept me with Pocketcasts for so long. The only issue I had was a Private feed with broken cover artwork, this was frustrating but it looks to be an issue on Patreons end. Thankfully Node Red is available to rescue the situation! ....
