I learned about a new DIY machine to me, the Cody Computer . It looks kind of fun, but once again, it does make me wonder why it’s so constrained. Extremely low-res graphics, for instance. While most podcasts are available on multiple platforms and either offer an RSS feed or have one that can be discovered , some are only available in the form of a YouTube channel. Thankfully, it's possible to both monitor them for new episodes (i.e. new videos), and time-shift the audio for later offline listening. I started the NYC Systems Coffee Club in December of 2023. It's gone pretty well! I regularly get around 20 people each month. You bring a drink if you feel like it and you hang out with people for an hour or two. There is no agenda, there is no speaker, there is no structure.
